NBA Player Props & Picks

Nikola Vucevic, Over 12.5 Rebounds (-110)

Spread Bulls -5.5

The Chicago Bulls head to Charlotte to take on the Hornets and I’m targeting Nikola Vucevic to have a big night on the boards. Vucevic has been finding plenty of success on the boards as he’s averaging 12.8 rebounds over the past five games.

In 2023, Vucevic is averaging 13.4 rebounds per game and has gone over this projection in eight of 11 games. Vucevic is a rebounding machine against the Hornets. In fact, Vucevic has gone over this projection in six of his past eight games against the Hornets. Furthermore, the Hornets are not a great rebounding team.

Charlotte is allowing opposing centers to average 16.2 rebounds per game this season. According to NBA Advanced Stats, the Hornets rank 28th in opponent rebounds per game. Additionally, the Hornets rank 22nd in team rebounding percentage this season.

Earlier this season, Vucevic grabbed 13 rebounds against the Hornets. Charlotte has allowed 11 opposing centers to grab 13 or more rebounds, including Vucevic.

Spencer Dinwiddie,  Over 18.5 Points (-125)

Spread Suns -1

The Dallas Mavericks head to Phoenix to take on the Suns in a rematch from last season’s Western Conference playoffs. The Mavericks are dealing with injuries in their frontcourt to Christian Wood and Maxi Kleber. In Wood’s absence, Spencer Dinwiddie has stepped up.

This season, in seven games without Wood, Dinwiddie is averaging 23.4 points. In fact, Dinwiddie has gone over this projection in six of seven games without Wood in the lineup.

Furthermore, Dinwiddie is averaging 21.6 points over his past five games and has gone over this projection in six straight contests. Additionally, Dinwiddie is averaging close to 16 shot attempts in that span.

Dinwiddie is also averaging 37.1 minutes per game in 2023. The Phoenix Suns defensive focus will be on trying to slow down Luka Doncic, which I believe will open more opportunities for Dinwiddie.

Lastly, in a matchup against the Suns earlier this season, Dinwiddie scored 21 points. I like this number up to 20.5. Take the over.
