The Wizards will take on the Timberwolves tonight after these teams met earlier this season in a 142-127 home victory for the Wizards. Kristaps Porzingis had a huge night in that matchup as he scored 41 points in just 31 minutes of playing time.

Porzingis has been on a tear recently. Over the last five games, he is averaging 26.6 points on 62.2% shooting from the field, 44.8% from the 3-point line and 96.6% from the free throw line.

This sets up as a favorable matchup for him because the Timberwolves have struggled to defend power forwards. They are allowing opposing power forwards to average 30.6 points per game on 53.1% shooting from the field. Porzingis is a matchup nightmare for the Timberwolves who are now lacking the size to defend Porzingis with Karl-Anthony Towns remaining out while Rudy Gobert and Kyle Anderson are both questionable to play tonight.

Pick: Kristaps Porzingis Over 23.5 Points

Chris Paul, Over 9.5 Assists (-128)

Spread Suns -1

The Clippers and the Suns will square off tonight in Phoenix in a matchup with Western Conference standings implications. The Clippers have lost both prior matchups this season to the Suns while dealing with injuries for most of the season. However, both teams are relatively healthy now. I’m zoning in on Suns point guard Chris Paul to have a successful night distributing the ball.

Over his last six games against the Clippers, Paul has recorded double-digit assists five times. According to NBA.com/stats, the Clippers sit slightly below average in opponent assists per game. Additionally, they are struggling to defend the 3-point line, where they rank 28th in opponent makes allowed. This should allow Paul to find open shooters and rack up assists.

Over the last five games, Paul is averaging 12.4 assists and has gone over this projection of 9.5 assists three times. Expect another double-digit assist performance tonight from Paul and bet this up to 10.5 assists.

Pick: Chris Paul Over 9.5 Assists
