Thursday's NBA Player Props: 2 Bets for Giannis, Vucevic

Thursday marks the NBA trade deadline, but there are also four games taking place. Munaf Manji sees betting value on two player props for Thursday, including picks for Nikola Vucevic and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Check out both of his player props for Thursday's NBA slate below.

Today marks one of the most exciting days of the NBA season: the trade deadline.

We’ve already seen a few huge trades take place, but we still have basketball games being played tonight.

It may get a bit tricky with players still on the move, so make sure to have your notifications on when placing your player prop bets for tonight.

NBA Player Props & Picks

Bulls vs.

Nets

Nikola Vucevic, Over 12.5 Rebounds (+100)

Spread Nets -1

The Chicago Bulls head to Barclays Center tonight to take on the new-look Brooklyn Nets.

The Nets have been struggling on the defensive end of the court, especially when it comes to rebounding the basketball. Over the last 10 games, the Nets are the fourth-worst rebounding team in the league, according to NBA Stats.

Furthermore, over the last two weeks, the Nets are allowing opposing centers to average close to 16 rebounds per game.

Nikola Vucevic has been pivotal for the Bulls since the turn of the calendar year. In fact, Vucevic has gone over this projection of 13 rebounds in 11 of his 18 games in 2023. Furthermore, in the two matchups this season against the Nets, Vucevic is averaging 14 rebounds, grabbing 13 and 15 boards, respectively.

Lastly, both teams have increased their pace of play over the last 10 games. The Bulls are eighth in pace, and the Nets rank 15th in that span. There will be plenty of shots being taken and rebounding opportunities for Vucevic tonight.

I like this prop bet up to 13.5.

Bucks vs.

Lakers

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Over 47.5 Points + Rebounds (-120)

Spread Bucks -6

The Milwaukee Bucks head to Hollywood to take on the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.

Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo should have a big night in L.A. Giannis has been on an absolute tear for the Bucks over his last five games. In fact, he’s averaging 39.4 points and 15.6 rebounds in that span.

Furthermore, Antetokounmpo has gone over this projection of 47.5 in five of his last six games.

It also seems like Giannis loves getting up to play against the Lakers. Over his last three career games against L.A., Giannis has scored at least 40 points while averaging 10 rebounds per game.

The Lakers have also struggled to rebound over their last 10 contests, ranking dead last in opponent rebounds per game, per NBA Stats.

In addition, the Lakers rank 25th on the season in points allowed in the paint.  We all know Giannis finishes around the basket at will, and I expect another huge night from him in Hollywood tonight.
