Suns vs. Pacers Odds & Picks: Back the Suns at Home

Betsperts analyst Ron Klos gives his best bets for the Suns vs. Pacers.

The Phoenix Suns will host the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night at the Footprint Center with tipoff set for 9:00 PM ET. These teams will be meeting for the first time this season. The Suns swept last year’s two-game season series, winning 113-103 at home last January. With Chris Paul and Devin Booker still out for Phoenix, Cameron Johnson’s return last game helped spur the Suns on to a 117-112 home win over the Nets. He will not play tonight either with the team choosing to rest him in the second game of a back-to-back. The Pacers have their own injury concerns with star Tyrese Haliburton out indefinitely. They fell 134-111 at Denver on Friday night. The loss was the sixth straight for the Pacers, the third in a row to start a four-game trip that ends in Phoenix.

Suns vs Pacers Best Bets

Suns -4 (-110 DraftKings)

The Pacers are currently in a downward tailspin. Their heart and soul, Haliburton, remains out with an injured elbow. They have been a sieve on defense allowing 130+ points in three of the last four games. The Suns are one the best home teams in the league having gone 15-7 this season. Even without some of their best players they still have Mikal Bridges and Deandre Ayton to lean on. They are also more rested and have won five in a row at home against Indiana.

Risk: 1.1 units on DraftKings to win 1 unit. (Playable to -4.5)

Suns vs Pacers Game Over 229 Points (-110 DraftKings)

As mentioned, the Pacers are one of the worst defensive teams in the league giving up 119 points per game. Both of these teams still have firepower even with all of the injuries. Both teams also like to push the tempo and shoot three-pointers. Indiana has some underrated long-distance shooters in Buddy Hield, Benedict Mathurin and Trevelin Queen. For the Suns, unheralded role players Damion Lee and Saben Lee have provided scoring punch with multiple starters sidelined.

Risk: 1.1 Units on DraftKings to win 1 unit. (Playable to 230)
