NBA Player Props Today
Warriors vs. Cavaliers
Kevon Looney Over 9.5 Rebounds
Spread | Cavaliers -2 |
Time | TV | 6 p.m. ET | NBA League Pass |
Best Line | DraftKings |
The 5-1 Golden State Warriors play on the road against the Cleveland Cavaliers as a 1.5-point underdog. The Cavaliers finally got Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen back from injury last game, but still gave up 121 points and were out-rebounded 40 to 35. With Allen back, the Cavaliers have a massive starting frontcourt, which is going to force Kevon Looney into bigger minutes than his 23.7 minutes per game average this season.
In his last three games against the Cavaliers frontcourt, Looney has averaged a remarkable 14.7 rebounds, while playing 30.3 minutes per game. He captured 18, 9, and 17 rebounds in those three games. Reaching double-digit rebounds feels like a tall task for Looney who has only averaged 8.8 rebounds this season, but his playing time is much lower against other teams compared to how much he plays against the Cavaliers frontcourt.
Hopefully this rebound prop goes much better than Christian Wood’s prop yesterday as he was skunked through most of the game. Looney is getting plus-money on DraftKings for over 10.5 rebounds (+200), which is enticing. However, the best value is on FanDuel at over 9.5 rebounds at -111. Looney will feast on the glass in this matchup.
Pick: Kevon Looney Over 9.5 Rebounds (-111)
Grizzlies vs. Trail Blazers
Luke Kennard Over 21.5 PTS + REB
Spread | Grizzlies -3 |
Time | TV | 9 p.m. ET | NBA League Pass |
Best Line | FanDuel |
The Grizzlies are the only winless team in the league with an 0-6 record. They are desperately looking for answers, especially on the offensive side of the ball as they can’t solely depend on Desmond Bane. He has been awesome, but with Jaren Jackson Jr. frequently getting into foul trouble, they need the outside shooting of Luke Kennard. In 24 games, including three starts for the Grizzlies last season, Kennard averaged 11.3 points per game.

Kennard has seen his playing time ramp up in each game as he played 27 minutes Friday night. In a repeat matchup against the Trail Blazers, the Grizzlies are once again 2.5-point road favorites, implied for 109.5 points tonight. Our Prop Model has Kennard projected for 13.5 points and assists tonight, which is well over his 10.5 prop line.
Kennard has yet to find his rhythm shooting the ball this season, but he did shoot a career-high 52.6% from behind the arc with the Grizzlies last season. Kennard has averaged 2.7 assists per game this season, which is impressive in his limited playing time he started with. If he finds his shot tonight, he will easily surpass this player prop. He can get over this line with scoring alone, but Kennard has been a great distributor to start the season.
