NBA Player Props & Picks

Isaiah Joe, Over 5.5 Rebounds and Assists (-105)

Spread Kings -4

Best Line BetMGM

By far the best game environment on the late slate is this matchup between the Thunder and Kings. The total currently sits at 240.5 points, with the Kings favored by four points on the road. The Thunder will be without All-Star point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander due to an injury.

No Gilgeous-Alexander means an extended role for Isaiah Joe, who has the first player prop we will target. Joe drew the his third start of the season last game and finished with 28 points and seven rebounds while shooting 11-for-17 from the field and 6-of-12 from behind the arc. Scoring is what Joe does best, but we’re on the over for his rebounds and assists prop, which is one of the best on the board.

Our NBA Model has Joe projected for 6.9 rebounds and assists, while getting decent value on the over. Joe played 36 minutes in the second leg of the back-to-back last game and is projected to play around 31 minutes in this spot. That is enough time in this game to record peripherals.

The Kings have been very strong rebounding the ball this season, but they have allowed the fifth-most assists per game. Joe had five potential assists in his last game and ended with zero. Expect that to turn around in this high-paced game. This prop is a little too low for a player who could play at least 35 minutes.

Kevon Looney, Under 2.5 Assists (-175)

Spread Warriors -2.5
Time | TV 7:30 p.m. ET | ESPN
Best Line DraftKings

Despite missing two — potentially three — of their starters, the Warriors are still 2.5-point home favorites against the Timberwolves as both teams try to climb the Western Conference standings. The Warriors will be playing without Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins, while Draymond Green is questionable.

Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson have been fantastic with the extra usage rate and production to go around. Kevon Looney has also been an absolute monster on the glass, averaging 13.6 rebounds per game over his last five. However, what Looney hasn’t been able to do is capture assists.

Looney has only had three or more assists in three of his last 11 games, which is good for a 72.7% hit rate on this under prop. If Green is out, that would help Looney potentially get more assists, but he will have a tough time reaching three or more. His role is to grab rebounds and score in the paint.

Looney will also have his hands full with Rudy Gobert, who is averaging 11.6 rebounds per game and is known for being one of the best rim protectors in the league. Our NBA Model has Looney projected for only 1.5 assists, and I would take the under even if this got to 2 or 1.5 assists.

Mason Plumlee, Under 19.5 Points and Rebounds (-130)

Spread Nuggets -2.5

Best Line PointsBet

The last game of the Sunday slate features a Western Conference showdown on ESPN between the Clippers and Nuggets.

The Nuggets have a five-game lead in the Western Conference and may be tough to catch with only around 20 games left on the schedule. They are also 2.5-point home favorites in this spot.

The Clippers will be without Ivica Zubac, which should mean more playing time for Mason Plumlee. That also poses major foul trouble risk going up against Mr. Triple-Double, Nikola Jokic, who is eyeing up his third straight MVP award.

In the Clippers’ 176-175 double overtime thriller on Friday without Zubac, Plumlee only played 25 minutes. He finished with a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double.

Plumlee is projected to play around 25 minutes tonight, which may be a bit generous. Even with that relatively high minutes projection, he is only expected to record 15.7 points and rebounds in this matchup against Jokic. That is well below this 19.5 prop line, making this another very strong under bet to take.

DraftKings has better value on this prop, but the line is currently 18.5 points and rebounds. Either way, Plumlee will struggle reaching this over. Despite Zubac’s absence, the potential foul trouble against Jokic and not getting many minutes to begin with, Plumlee’s under prop looks great tonight.
