The New Orleans Pelicans have been one of the league’s hottest teams, winning five straight while holding their opponents to an average of 97.4 points during that stretch.
Despite their success, the Pels find themselves as big road underdogs against the Warriors on Tuesday night.
This will serve as a much tougher task than’ve have been up against of late. The Warriors enter this contest ranked second in points per game at 118.2, third in effective field goal percentage at 56.8% and third in 3-point percentage at 38.2%.
These teams will be meeting for the fourth and final time this season, with the Warriors leading the season series, 2-1.

NBA Same Game Parlay Odds & Pick
The Parlay: (+265)
- Warriors Team Total Under 121.5 Points (-105)
- Jonas Valanciunas Alternate Rebounds Over 12.5 (+118)
Warriors Team Total Under 121.5 Points (-106)
The Pelicans have definitely been a pleasant surprise, especially when considering they’ve been playing without Zion Williamson since January and have dealt with a lot of injuries and changes within their starting lineup.
New Orleans has been great on the defensive end. It ranks ninth in opponent points per game at 112.4 and ninth in opponent field goals made per contest. It’s going to be a tough task to slow down the Warriors, but Golden State has had its fair share of struggles all season and looks vulnerable heading into this matchup.
The Warriors are coming off one of their worst games of the season — a 99-96 loss at home to the Timberwolves. The Dubs struggled with ball security, turning it over 16 times while scoring only 28 paint points.
With the Pelicans playing well, particularly on the defensive end, look for them to keep Golden State in check once again and bet the Warriors’ team total under.
Jonas Valanciunas Alt. Rebounding Total Over 12.5 (+118)
Jonas Valanciunas has been a rebounding machine all season, averaging 10.1 boards a contest. But that number has really gone up recently.
Valanciunas has seen a considerable uptick in playing time, logging 30 or more minutes in five of his last six contests. It’s no surprise that his rebounding totals have reflected that, as he’s grabbed no less than 12 boards during that stretch.
The Pelicans have been a good team defending the paint, and with the Warriors’ struggles inside all season and their propensity to take perimeter shots, there will be plenty of opportunities for boards.
There appears to be a lot of value in taking an alternate rebound total for Valanciunas here. A mark of 12.5 is very doable and offers a plus-money return at +118.
