The New Orleans Pelicans have been playing some awesome ball as of late, finally getting healthy with most of their roster back. They have won seven-straight contests — four of those by 10 or more points. Tonight they travel to Utah to take on the Jazz who have lost two of their last three contests.

If last time these two teams met up is any indicator of how this game is going to go, then we are in for a great showing. Their most previous meeting on Oct. 23 saw the Jazz squeaking out a 122-121 overtime victory after the Pelicans made a fourth quarter comeback and are slight underdogs at home in this contest tonight.

Let’s get to the two bets that I’m looking to parlay on tonight’s game.

Pelicans vs. Jazz NBA Same Game Parlay Odds & Pick

The Parlay: (+284)

  • Utah Jazz 1st Half 3-Way Moneyline (+100)
  • Kelly Olynyk Over 13.5 Points (-106)

Utah Jazz First Half 3-Way Moneyline (+100)

Both the Jazz and Pelicans rank in the top five in the Association in points per game with the Pelicans averaging 117.6, and the Jazz 117.3. Breaking this stat down further and looking into teams getting out to quick starts, that has been the Jazz at home all year long averaging 63.5 first half points at home.

The biggest discrepancy in scoring overall is found within this stat with the Pels struggling on the road in the first half. New Orleans is only averaging 53.5 first half points; 10 less than what we can usually expect out of Utah.

With Brandon Ingram out for New Orleans — the Pels’ second-leading scorer missing yet another contest, it’s tough to envision the Pels keeping up with Utah’s offensive success at home early on.

Kelly Olynyk Over 13.5 Points (-106)

Kelly Olynyk is a newer acquisition to the Jazz, but he’s making his presence felt on both sides of the ball like he’s been with the team forever. He enters this contest averaging 54.4% shooting from the floor, and 45.5 from beyond the arc.

In their overtime matchup earlier this season, Olynyk played 37 minutes and shot 7-of-12 from the floor, 2-of-3 from beyond the arc and logged 20 points.

In two prior meetings in the 2021-22 season despite on different squads for both he had a lot of offensive success. Olynyk put up 18 points as a member of the Miami Heat against the Pelicans, and 26 while on the Houston Rockets.

Look for that offensive success to continue tonight, and bet the over on his points total.
