Andrew O’Connor-Watts: The Warriors have played better since their five-game road skid, winning two games at home against the Kings and Cavaliers.

They’re on the road again tonight, but they didn’t travel far–just up the literal road (I-80) from San Francisco in Sacramento.

When the two teams played in San Francisco last week, the Kings found themselves with an eight-point lead that was eliminated by a 24-13 Warriors scoring run in the last six minutes. Nonetheless, the Kings still managed to cover against the rested Warriors despite returning from an East Coast road trip.

The Kings have been playing well lately. In the last five games, they rank fifth in Offensive Rating (116.3), second in Turnover Rate (12.0%), sixth in True Shooting % (60.8%), and seventh in eFG% (56.7%).

The Warriors offense has also been good (10th in Offensive Rating over the last five games) but not to the level of the Kings offense.

Still, the Warriors are just 1-5 SU/ATS on the road this season with their one cover coming from an over-inflated line when Golden State’s entire starting lineup besides Kevon Looney sat out in New Orleans.

The Warriors have won the last seven meetings, but the Kings have covered five of the last eight.

Look for the Kings to keep it close at home.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Los Angeles Lakers

Pick Kevin Durant, Over 2.5 Steals and Blocks (+140)
Book DraftKings
Tipoff 9:30 p.m. ET
TV NBA TV

Tyler Schmidt: Kevin Durant is single-handedly trying to bring the Nets back over .500. They are close at 6-7 after winning four of their last five games. The Nets are four-point road favorites tonight against the Lakers, who have the second-worst record in the league, and this is a great matchup to target Durant.

We’ll be backing Durant in a little different way than most by looking at his steals and blocks prop line that sits at 2.5. Durant has gone over this prop in four straight games. He is doing everything for this Nets team by averaging over 30 points per game and shooting over 50% from the field for the 10th consecutive year. With Kyrie Irving out and Ben Simmons still limited, he is impossible to avoid.

The Lakers have allowed opponents to get 8.9 steals per game, which ranks as the third-highest in the league. They also rank in the top 10 in blocks allowed per game as well. The Lakers are a sloppy team, especially with LeBron James unlikely to play. Projected to play over 35 minutes tonight, Durant will have plenty of opportunities to get over this prop line for his steals and blocks.

Our model has Durant projected for 2.9 steals and blocks, and getting this prop with juice attached on DraftKings is very intriguing. There is too much value on this prop with how frequently it has hit and this great matchup.
