We are exactly four months into the NBA season, which is a great time for the All-Star break. The weekend’s festivities tip off Friday with the 2023 Jordan Rising Stars tournament.

The format for this event has varied through the years, but this will be the second consecutive season that the NBA will have a tournament style competition that features three teams (more on that late).

Here’s a look at the rosters led by team captains Pau Gasol, Deron Williams and Jason Terry.

NBA Rising Stars Format

Four teams comprising 28 rookies, sophomores and NBA G League players will compete in a series of three games on TNT at 9 p.m. ET.

Each game will be played to a final target score, ending with a made basket or free throw instead of with the clock running out, similar to the NBA All-Star game.

Games 1 and 2 will be played until a team reaches 40 points; Game 3 will be played until a team reaches 25 points.

Game 1: Team A vs. Team B
Game 2: Team C vs. Team D
Game 3: Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 2
