We’ve got just one last week before the NBA Playoffs. Things are getting very interesting as we approach the season’s final week. The Los Angeles Lakers are currently two games out of the play-in game in the West, while the Nets are currently in the 10th spot in the East.
Without the play-in game, the Nets wouldn’t be in the playoffs at this moment. Plus, Ben Simmons, who was acquired for James Harden, isn’t likely to make his return to the basketball court this season. For the two preseason favorites, things aren’t looking too hot.

Where’s The Value?
Philadelphia 76ers
The top four seeds in the East are all very close to one another. Those four teams include Miami, Boston, Milwaukee, and Philadelphia. Expectations are incredibly high in each location, but there’s more pressure on Philadelphia over any other team. The 76ers brought in James Harden to pair with a top player like Joel Embiid. There are no more excuses. They’ve taken some nights off, but Philadelphia should be in a good position in the playoffs. At +1100 odds, the 76ers have the best odds of the four teams to make a run for this thing.
Golden State Warriors
The assumption is that Steph Curry will return for the Warriors once the playoffs begin. He’s been sidelined due to injury, but at this point, the Warriors just want to make sure he’s healthy for the playoffs.
The Warriors will have Steph Curry and Klay Thompson playing with one another with no restrictions, along with Draymond Green and all-star Andrew Wiggins. The Warriors are deep, and when they’ve got their stars playing well, creating a tough team to beat.
Teams You Should Stay Away From
Brooklyn Nets
The Nets at +700 is ridiculous. They will have to compete in a play-in game before they even have a shot at playing an actual series in the NBA playoffs. With reports coming out that Simmons won’t play in the play-in game, it’s pretty apparent that the Nets won’t be seeing Simmons on the floor this year. Even with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving on the floor, the defense has been a struggle. This isn’t going to be the Nets’ year. Don’t take them at +700.
Denver Nuggets
I love Nikola Jokic. He’s the MVP, without a doubt. Jokic took the Nuggets into the playoffs without Jamaal Murray and Michael Porter Jr, but they’ve feasted on teams below .500 and got rocked by teams above .500. Once Denver has to play a higher level of competition, they’re overmatched. The Nuggets are appealing at +2700 with the MVP on their team, but ultimately, they don’t have much star power to match these other top teams.
