Boston Celtics
The Celtics were the only team so far in the NBA Playoffs to pull off a sweep with their drubbing of the Brooklyn Nets in Round 1.
Their biggest concern entering the playoffs was whether Robert Williams would be available for the playoffs and he returned to play two games in their first-round series.
Boston has an implied probability of 61.87% to win the series based on the odds, but the odds that this series extends to six or seven games are both listed at +190 odds respectively.
They’ve also shot up the title odds board going from +750 before Round 1 to +400 as of this writing.
How Khris Middleton’s Injury is Moving Bucks-Celtics Betting Odds
Milwaukee Bucks
As dominant as the Celtics have been, the Bucks have the best Net Rating (+13.8) of any team in the playoffs. That number is driven largely by their Defensive Rating (94.4), which is nearly 10 points per 100 possessions lower than the next closest team.
The Bucks will face an uphill battle, though. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Khris Middleton has a Grade 2 sprain and is expected to miss the entire second round series — and potentially the Conference Finals if the Bucks were to advance.
The Bucks went from having the second-best odds to win the NBA title (+500) before the start of the playoffs to the fourth-best odds (+600) entering Round 2.
