NBA Player Props & Picks

Bennedict Mathurin, Under 25.5 Points and Rebounds (-115)

Spread Grizzlies -8.5

Best Line PointsBet

Playing on a back-to-back the Pacers are 8.5-point home underdogs against the Grizzlies who have won eight-straight games. Despite a 23-20 record, the Pacers are going to struggle finding wins as their star Tyrese Haliburton is out for at least the next two weeks. That will pave the way for rookie Bennedict Mathurin to get extended playing time as he logged 39 minutes last night.

Averaging 17.4 points per game as a rookie is quite impressive. There is no reason to worry about a back-to-back for the young legs of Mathurin, but this matchup causes concern. The Grizzlies rank second in the league in Defensive Rating (109.3), entering tonight’s games allowing just 111.8 points per game.

With Steven Adams and Jaren Jackson Jr. dominating the glass and the paint, the Pacers possessions will be one-and-done a majority of the time. The Grizzlies also lead the league in Rebounding Percentage and rank fifth in points per game allowed in the paint. Mathurin may have went over his points and rebounds prop in back-to-back games, but that will be difficult in this spot.

This matchup does feature the highest total on the six-game slate at 239 points, but Mathurin will have a tough time generating enough points and rebounds against this stout defense. Mathurin is shooting 42.3% from the field and has only made one 3-pointer in his last five games.

With points being hard to come by in the paint in this matchup, it shouldn’t be surprising our model has Mathurin projected for only 21.1 points and rebounds against the Grizzlies.

OG Anunoby, Over 5.5 Rebounds (-115)

Spread Raptors -5.5
Time | TV 7:30 p.m. ET | NBA League Pass
Best Line PointsBet

The Toronto Raptors have struggled halfway through this season, but their recent three-game win streak has propelled them to 10th place in the Western Conference standings. Playing at home sure helps as tonight will mark the Raptors ninth home game in their last 10 as they are 6.5-point favorites.

Raptors forward OG Anunoby seems to get better each and every year. He is averaging career-high’s in points, rebounds, field goal percentage, steals, and minutes played this season. His 5.8 rebounds per game is what we will target in this matchup as the Hawks rank 27th in Rebounding Percentage this year.

Despite playing alongside Pascal Siakam and Scottie Barnes, Anunoby is averaging a career-high 10.5 rebound chances per game. Over the last six games, Anunoby is averaging 6.3 rebounds per game as the Raptors starters continue to play a massive amount of minutes. Our model has Anunoby projected for 6.9 rebounds, which is well above the 5.5 rebound prop line.

The Hawks are allowing 11.4 offensive rebounds per game, which ranks as the fifth-highest in the league. Losing Clint Capela who averages 11.9 per game has hurt the Hawks immensely on the glass. 37.2% of Anunoby’s rebounds have come on the offensive glass as the Raptors are shooting just 44.9% from the field. Anunoby will get plenty of rebound chances in this matchup tonight.

Isaac Okoro, Over 2.5 Rebounds (-115)

Spread Cavaliers -5
Time | TV 8 p.m. ET | NBA League Pass
Best Line DraftKings

The last player in this prop article is Cavaliers forward Isaac Okoro. He has started each of the last five games as his playing time continues to fluctuate. Okoro did play 29 minutes in the Cavaliers last game, so his playing time may be trending up. Either way, Okoro can hit this over rebound prop with ease.

Starting or coming off the bench, Okoro has captured three or more rebounds in seven of his last eight games while averaging exactly four per game during that time. If Okoro plays 30 minutes, he will have plenty of rebound chances against the Timberwolves who play at the fifth-fastest Pace in the league.

Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert may be averaging the second-most rebounds in the league at 12 per game, but overall the team ranks 25th in Rebounding Percentage this season. With the focus being on boxing out Gobert, Okoro can easily swoop in and get more rebounds than anticipated.

Our model has Okoro projected for 4.2 rebounds tonight, which is well over this prop line. Make sure to shop around for the best odds on this prop, but right now DraftKings has -115 on Okoro hitting the over. Similar to Anunoby’s rebound prop, this is all about opportunity, which is in the favor of Okoro.
