NBA Player Prop Bets for Friday, April 22 (2022)

There are three fascinating games on the slate for tonight’s NBA Playoffs. Yet, you might see some notable players not on the court tonight. Devin Booker of the Suns will miss some time with a hamstring injury. Khris Middleton of the Bucks is sidelined for some time. Clint Capela is also not expected to return to action for the Hawks.

This leaves the door open for other stars and role players to have a more significant role in their respective games. We took all of that into account with our prop picks for April 22.

Heat vs. Hawks: Trae Young Over 3.5 Rebounds

Trae Young hasn’t had the best start for the playoffs. He’s 2-for-17 from deep and has turned the ball over 16 times in just two games. That’s very unlike Young. Being at home could change those stats, but I’m not relying on him shooting lights out. I’m going to grab Young Over 3.5 rebounds at -128.

When Capela isn’t on the floor, Young’s rebounding increases slightly. He’s recorded six rebounds in each of the first two games, and if the Hawks stick around in this one, Young could end up playing 40 minutes. Four rebounds seem reasonable if Young gets that amount of playing time, with how active he is on the floor. He would need one rebound every 10 minutes of action.

Bet: Young Over 3.5 Rebounds (-128 at FanDuel)

Bulls vs. Bucks: Patrick Williams Over 13.5 Points/Rebounds

In the second game of the series, Patrick Williams started playing more aggressively. He went 5-for-9 from the floor and played 32 minutes. He scored 10 points and earned nine rebounds in the victory for the Bulls. If the game stays tighter, Williams will play over 30 minutes. He’s a capable rebounder and averaged 12 points per game against the Bucks during the regular season.

Williams won’t be the go-to guy in the playoffs, but he averaged about nine points per game during the regular season. If a three-pointer or two drops, he’ll be well on his way.

Bet: Patrick Williams Over 13.5 Points/Rebounds (+100 at FanDuel)

Suns vs. Pelicans: C.J. McCollum Over 2.5 Three-pointers

C.J. McCollum is the heart and soul of this Pelicans team. Without him, I’m not sure the Pelicans are even in this position of playing in the playoffs. Ultimately, he’s stepped up. McCollum knocked down six three-pointers in the Pelicans’ win against the Suns on the road.

Now the Pelicans will be home, and we’re asking McCollum to score just three three-pointers. He’s already had back-to-back games against the Suns with at least three three-pointers. The volume will be there for McCollum, and even with Brandon Ingram going off, McCollum will still be a secondary threat, especially from deep.

Grab McCollum to hit three threes tonight.

Bet: C.J. McCollum Over 2.5 Three-pointers (-148 at DraftKings)
