The NBA regular season is officially in the books! Now the real fun begins.
For the second season in a row, fans will be treated to six extra games before the playoffs start. And while these aren’t exactly Game 7s, there’s nothing more exciting than seeing teams play for their playoff lives.
Here’s a look at where the eight teams landed in the play-in tournament, their odds to make the playoffs, and the title odds for all 20 postseason teams ahed of Tuesday’s matchup.

Tuesday’s Games
East No. 8 vs. East No. 7
The Cleveland Cavaliers and Brooklyn Nets will face off in the opening game of the NBA Play-In Tournament Tuesday night. The winner will secure the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference and face the Boston Celtics in Round 1 of the NBA Playoffs. The loser will face the winner of Hornets vs. Hawks in a single elimination game on Friday night.
West No. 8 vs. West No. 7
The Los Angeles Clippers and Minnesota Timberwolves will face off in the second game of the NBA Play-In Tournament. The winner will secure the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference and meet the Memphis Grizzlies in Round 1 of the NBA Playoffs. The the loser will face the winner of Spurs vs. Pelicans in a single-elimination game on Friday night.
Wednesday’s Games
East No. 10 vs. East No. 9
The Charlotte Hornets and Atlanta Hawks will go head-to-head on the second night of the NBA Play-In Tournament Wednesday night. The winner face the loser of Cavaliers vs. Nets and the loser will be eliminated from playoff contention.
West No. 10 vs. West No. 9
The San Antonio Spurs and New Orleans Pelicans will play in the late game of Wednesday’s NBA Play-In Tournament games. The winner face the loser of Clippers vs. Timberwolves and the loser will be eliminated from playoff contention.
