NBA Parlay Odds & Picks for Friday, April 22 (2022)

All three road teams prevailed last night in the NBA, as the Grizzlies, Mavericks, and Warriors got it done away from home. Now, the attention heads east again in the early spots, as the Suns and Pelicans bring it home late night.

Let’s take a closer look at each game and see where the value remains.

Leg #1. Hawks ML | +100 at DK Sportsbook
The Hawks are back in Atlanta tonight in desperate need of a victory, dropping two games in Miami and getting routed in both. All-Star Trae Young has yet to have the monster performance he’s known for, averaging just 16.5 points per game through two.

For the Heat, their star can’t say the same. His game 2 performance was one for the history books, scoring 45 points on 15-25 shooting. One of the best home teams in the league down the stretch, I like for the Hawks to get one back here in a must-win game, as Young and teammate John Collins have themselves a night.

Leg #2. Bulls +2.5 | -115 at DK Sportsbook
The biggest upset of the first round took place in this series on Wednesday, as the Bulls won outright as 10-point underdogs. As I expected, DeMar DeRozan had the game Bulls fans had been waiting for, going for 41 points on 16 of 31 from the field.

For the Bucks, already dealing with the loss of George Hill (abdominal), they now must go on without a key piece of last year’s championship run in Khris Middleton (knee). While I think the Bucks prove to be too much as the series goes on, I like for the Bulls to take this one as they return home tonight as healthy as they’ve been all season.

Leg #3. Suns -1.5 | -115 at DK Sportsbook
Playoff injury woes have once again hit the Suns, as star point guard and leading scorer Devin Booker (hamstring) is now expected to miss multiple games if not the rest of the series. The Suns will need to figure out how to replace his 28 points per game and fast, as the Pelicans are riding a wave of confidence that could pose a major issue.

Getting into the postseason via winning two games in the play-in tournament, the Pelicans have now won three of four (3-1 ATS) and have the top-seeded Suns nearly on the ropes. Still led by veteran Chris Paul and one of the most underrated big men in the game in Deandre Ayton, I like for the Suns to get back on track tonight and still win this series in 6 games or less.
