Things got even tighter in both conferences following a shallow Thursday night slate, as the NBA kicks off its second to last weekend of the 2021-22 regular season. With Phoenix/Memphis and Pelicans/Lakers serving as the national TV games (NBA TV) tonight, let’s take a closer look at the board at large and see where the value remains.

Leg #1. Wizards +8.5 | -110 at DK Sportsbook
The storylines pretty much write themselves for two teams involved in a trade nearly two months ago, as Dallas sent Kristaps Porzingis and a second-round pick to Washington for Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans. While time will tell who came out ahead, so far the Mavericks have in spades.
Dallas has struck fire as the regular season winds down, winning seven of their past 10 and now three straight heading into this one. Individually, however, Porzingis is playing some of the best basketball he has in years. Averaging 22.6 per game over his last 10, I like for Porzingis to have a big game tonight against his former team, and do enough to keep this one close.
Leg #2. Grizzlies +7 | -110 at DK Sportsbook
Whether All-Star Ja Morant is on the court or not, this Grizzlies team just keeps finding ways to win. Winners of six straight (5-1 ATS) and nine of their last 10 (6-4 ATS), that six-game win streak has come without Morant on the floor.
Winners of nine straight in their own right (7-2 ATS), the Grizz know a thing or two about winning, as they’ve already clinched the top spot in the Western Conference with nearly two weeks left to play. With Javale McGee (illness) likely sitting this one out, however, I like for the Grizzlies to have enough late to hang around and cover this number at home.
Leg #3. Nuggets -4.5 | -110 at DK Sportsbook
One of the hottest teams out of the All-Star break has suddenly gone cold, as the Timberwolves come into this game loser of four of their past five (1-4 ATS) and tumbling down the Western Conference standings. While points haven’t been a concern, #2 in the league in points per game at 115.2, their lack of defense is a major concern as the season unfolds. Over their past five, Minnesota is allowing an average of 117.8 points per game.
That should spell trouble vs. the Nuggets, who led by reigning league-MVP Nikola Jokic are starting to hit playoff form. Winners of their past three straight, the Nuggets have scored more than 113 points in each of their past five games.
Total Odds: +595 at DK Sportsbook
