NBA Parlay for Wednesday, March 16th, 2022

12 games are on the docket tonight in the Association, as the Mavericks and Nets hold the early ESPN spot and Celtics/Warriors finish us off. With less than one month remaining in the regular season, the race is on for teams still jockeying for position in the Eastern and Western Conference playoffs.

Let’s take a closer look at a few teams involved in the race.

Leg #1. Hawks-Hornets Over 238.5 | -110 at DK Sportsbook

Two teams hanging on for dear life in the Eastern Conference play-in tournament will face off tonight in Charlotte, as both need a win here in a bad way. For the Hawks, 126.5 points per game over their past two have been impressive, but their defense is a major cause of concern as they’ve allowed both the Trail Blazers and Pacers to hang around late.

Points haven’t been an issue for the Hornets either, as they’ve averaged 138 points over their past two games as the offense is starting to take early-season form. Now 5-0 to the over in their past five in the role of a favorite, I like for the Hornets to be a major catalyst for this one to sail over the posted total.

Leg #2. Mavericks ML | -120 at DK Sportsbook

The Nets return home tonight and will be without Kyrie Irving, following a night in which they dropped 150 in Orlando to win by 42 points. The win was their fourth straight, with three of those coming on the road and with Irving and Kevin Durant terrorizing opposing defenses.

Tonight, however, they welcome the hottest team in the league as the Mavericks come to town looking to pick up their eighth win in nine tries. Averaging 32.6 points over his last five games, I like for All-Star Luka Doncic to have another big one tonight in Brooklyn.

Leg #3. Warriors ML | -130 at DK Sportsbook

ESPN got a doozy tonight in their late slot, as the red-hot Celtics will head West to take on the surging Warriors who are starting to round into postseason form. Now having covered 5 straight games, the Warriors are starting to score in droves, averaging 120.3 points per game over their past three.

They’ll be taking a step up tonight, however, as they welcome to town a Celtics team who hasn’t played since Sunday and is allowing just 103.9 points per game. In what I expect to be a close game, I like for the Splash Brothers who are averaging a combined 55 points per game over their past three to be the difference tonight.
