Thanksgiving has come and gone and with it the 24-hour break the NBA received also now come and gone. With Black Friday comes a nine-game slate which starts at 3:40 PM on the East Coast and goes all the way into the late evening.
Let’s take a closer look and see where we can draw some value.

Leg #1. Hornets -3 | -110 at DK Sportsbook
Winners of seven of their last 10 and four of their last five, the Hornets have quietly been playing some of the most consistent basketball in the league. Coming into Friday, they rank #4 in the league in points per game (111.9) and #5 in 3PT% (36.4%).
On the other side of this matchup, the Timberwolves have won five straight, covering all five by an average margin of 18.7 points per game.
Not all win streaks are made the same in this case, however, with the Timberwolves wins coming over the Grizzlies, Spurs, and Kings, and the Hornets coming over Washington, Indiana, and Warriors.
I like for the Hornets to eek this one out.
Leg #2. Hawks +1 | -110 at DK Sportsbook
Winners of their last six straight heading into Thanksgiving, the Hawks have turned a slow start into a run that has them back over .500. The last time we saw them on the court was a 124-106 win over the Spurs, in which All-Star Trae Young led all scorers with 31.
For the home Grizzlies, a hot start led by the All-Star caliber play of Ja Morant has been cooled off as of late, losing five of eight and two of their last three.
In this one, I like for the Hawks offense that’s currently in the top 10 in points per game (#6), FG% (#7), and 3PT % (#2) to be too much for the Grizzlies who are amongst the worst in the league in
Leg #3. Lakers -7 | -110 at DK Sportsbook
Prior to their win vs. the Trail Blazers Wednesday night, the Kings had lost four straight and eight of their previous nine (1-8 ATS) en route to losing their coach Luke Walton.
For the Lakers, a three-game losing streak has been followed up by winning two of their last three. In this one, the Lakers should not just be getting back LeBron, but a healthier Anthony Davis than we saw on Wednesday as he dealt with an illness.
Total Odds: +595 at DraftKings
