Steph Curry (+700)

The Warriors have started the season playing well at 5-1, but the more surprising part is after their well-documented struggles on the road last year, they’re 4-0 away from Oracle this season.

The Cavaliers were one of the top teams in the East last year, but they’ve gotten off to a slow start at 2-4. The defense is still good, but it hasn’t been as tough as last year, and they’ve lost to what were beatable opponents last year, like the Pacers.

Klay Thompson and Steph Curry both have two first baskets a piece. Point guards have exposed the Cavs so far this season as they’ve allowed the most points against the position, so take Steph.

Luka Doncic (+425)

The Mavericks are coming off a tough loss to Denver, but they showed resilience after being down 20 to get it within single digits at one point. Luka Doncic is putting up great numbers and is nearly averaging a triple-double (33.8 points, 10.4 rebounds, 9.4 assists).

The Hornets are in the middle of a three-game losing streak, two of which were against two bottom teams from last year, the Pistons and Rockets. They’ve been bad on both sides of the court, but they’ve struggled on offense, and they might be without their leading scorer, Terry Rozier, as he’s a game-time decision.

Luka and Grant Williams are tied with two first baskets a piece, but the Hornets have struggled against perimeter shooting and guards this year, so take Doncic to get it going.

Pascal Siakam (+600)

The Spurs are getting things going, and they’ve won two of their last three games. Victor Wembanyama is looking impressive to start his career and leads the team with 20.6 points and 8.0 rebounds, and you’re already seeing his effect.

The Raptors made big changes in the offseason by allowing Fred VanVleet to go and firing Nick Nurse. This will be a rebuilding season for Toronto as they sit last in the Atlantic.

Both of these teams have done well at getting the first basket, the Raptors are perfect, and Pascal Siakam has three already.
