Lakers vs. Pacers Prediction
Pick: Lakers Team Total Over 120.5 (-105)
Lakers Betting Outlook
The Lakers are once again listing LeBron James (ankle) and Anthony Davis (knee) as questionable for this game but they do not play again until Easter so they should be able to suit up.
The Lakers have been rolling since the All-Star Break, with a record of 11-6, but the underlying metrics are a touch behind with a net rating of just 1.6, per NBA Advanced Stats.
However, they have truly struggled on the defensive side of the ball. In their non-garbage time minutes, they are allowing their opponents to score 117.6 points per 100 possessions, the sixth-most in the league, per Cleaning the Glass.
The Lakers have taken both contests against the Pacers this season. They won the IST Final 123-109 in a dominant showing on the interior and found success in a similar fashion on March 24 when they put up 150 points on Indiana.
Anthony Davis should have no difficulty scoring on the interior in a matchup he has dominated against Myles Turner.

Pacers Betting Outlook
Aside from Bennedict Mathurin, the Pacers have remained relatively healthy down the stretch. Their record is not indicative of their overall success after the ASB though. They are 10-8, yet they have a better net rating than the Lakers since the break.
Similar to LA though, their offense as been humming and it is the defense that is lagging behind.
The surprising thing about both offensive explosions is that neither team is taking many threes – they are attacking at the rim and the mid-range. Both teams allow those shots frequently and at a high percentage. The layup lines are open.
One concerning thing for the Pacers has been the play of Tyrese Haliburton. He simply doesn’t look the same as he did prior to the All-Star Game. Prior to the break, he averaged 21.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 11.8 assists per game.
After? He is down to 18.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 10.1 assists per game.
While those are still strong numbers, the ceiling simply has not been there for him.
Lakers vs. Pacers Picks, Odds
The Lakers have found immense success against the Pacers this season and one area they have had zero difficulty is scoring the basketball.
The Lakers have been the best team to the over on the season, at 41-32-1.
While I lean the full game over, I’d rather take the Lakers’ team total over at 120.5.
I expect AD and LeBron to get to the rim with relative ease tonight, and they should be able to take advantage of the shot profile Indiana allows on a nightly basis.
Pick: Lakers Team Total Over 120.5 (-105)
