Kings vs. Pistons Odds & Picks: Kings to Cover in High Scoring Affair

Betsperts analyst Ron Klos gives his best bets for the Sacramento Kings vs. Detroit Pistons.

The Sacramento Kings will host the Detroit Pistons on Sunday night at the Golden 1 Center with tipoff set for 6:00 PM ET. The Kings have rebounded from an 0-4 start to win eight of 10, including their last five in a row. They’ll be looking to complete a perfect 4-0 homestand against the Pistons, having already beaten Golden State, Brooklyn and San Antonio in the past week. The Pistons have lost six in a row, including two straight to open their current six-game Western swing. Cade Cunningham remains out indefinitely with a shin injury that is being reported as a stress fracture that might require surgery.

Kings vs. Pistons Betting Odds

Kings Pistons
Spread -9.5 +9.5
Moneyline -450 +360
Over/Under 233

Kings -9.5 (-110 DraftKings)

Coming off their loss to the Lakers on Friday, the Pistons now have an 0-9 record on the road this year. With Cunningham, Isaiah Stewart and Saddiq Bey out, things will not get any easier on the road against the potent Kings offense. Sacramento is on a 5-game winning streak and has scored at least 120 points in those games, covering the spread in each. They are now 5-1 ATS this season. The Pistons, on the other hand, are 2-6-1 ATS on the road so far. Sacramento is healthy and De’Aaron Fox is blossoming into a star. Expect the Kings to have little trouble in what should also be a high-scoring affair.

Game Total Over 233 (-110 DraftKings)

Sacramento plays at one of the fastest paces in the NBA averaging over 103 possessions per game which is 8th in the league. They are also one of the most efficient teams with a rating of 115.1 ranking second behind only the Celtics. On the defensive side, both teams rank in the bottom five in efficiency. The Pistons have given up at least 115 points in five of their past six games. Also, the last two times these teams played the totals have been 264 and 236. With Detroit center Isaiah Stewart out in the middle and the Kings having six players averaging at least 12 points per game, expect this total to be eclipsed relatively easily.
