Stephen Curry’s brilliant Game 4 performance stole back home-court advantage from the Celtics, laying the foundation for an epic Game 5 at Golden State.
The Warriors enter at four-point favorites, but face a resilent Celtics group that has thrived on the road. Boston has the NBA’s best ATS record away from TD Garden at 34-17-1 (66.7 percent). Boston has also been especially resilient after a loss, carrying a perfect 7-0 record when facing a two-game losing streak in these playoffs.
The Celtics has staved off elimination twice in these playoffs, winning road games at Milwaukee and Miami. Can Golden State protect home-court advantage, or will the Celtics have a chance to win the championship at home in Game 6?

Celtics vs. Warriors Monday Night Picks
Derrick White (BOS) Over 2.5 Assists (+113, DraftKings)
Boston center Robert Williams has been dominant the past two games, averaging 7.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, and two assists while posting 28.5 minutes per game. That is quite an increase from the prior two playoff series where Williams posted just 22.5 and 23.2 minutes per game. Williams asked out of Game 4, putting his status for tonight’s matchup in doubt.
Derrick White has been dynamite as a reserve for Boston, averaging 14 points and two assists per game in this series. I expect some positive regression for White’s assists total, which hovered at 3.7 per game in the Eastern Conference Finals against Miami.
White is averaging 2.7 assists per game in the playoffs, and posted 4.7 assists per game in three regular-season matchups with Golden State. I’m backing White to crest this number for the first time since Game 1, with the possibility of extra minutes if Williams is not fully healthy.

Celtics vs. Warriors Under 210.5 Points (-110, DraftKings)
This game is such a pivotal matchup, I’m betting this number under the 210.5 total.
Per the BetSperts app, the majority of bets in on the over but the majority of money is backing the under. We have seen a pattern of Game 5’s play to lower scores, as a result of the critical nature of the outcome. Teams that win Game 5 of a best-of-seven series end up winning the series over 82 percent of the time in NBA history.
This series has split 2-2 in game totals, but last game barely broke 200 points in Golden State’s 107-97 win. I’m betting on a slow-paced game that Boston keeps close, with a defensive scheme focused on slowing another Stephen Curry explosion.
