The Celtics are coming out of their toughest stretch of the season. After smooth sailing for the first 3+ months of the season, the Celtics stumbled a bit, coinciding with the Milwaukee Bucks going white-hot for all of February, and suddenly Boston is out of the top spot in the Eastern Conference. However, that adversity, along with their current position in the standings, gives me a bit more confidence that they’ll go into Houston tonight and take care of business.

This is the second game of a six-game road trip for Boston, and they can’t get caught playing with their food against an inferior Rockets club, considering their recent struggles. After losing four of five, they’ve won two in a row and will look to continue that tonight against a Houston team that’s been playing out the string since December. This is a big number, but it’s one that Boston covered with ease in their first meeting this season back in late December, a 126-102 win for the C’s at home.
The Rockets have lost 14 of 16, with their only wins coming against the Spurs, so that barely counts. I’m willing to lay the double-digits here and back the Celtics.
