Celtics vs. Raptors Odds & Picks: The League's Best Team Continues To Roll

Ryan Noonan of Betsperts and 4for4Bets is backing the league's best team, the Boston Celtics, tonight in Toronto.

The Celtics head north to Toronto after dismantling the Nets in Brooklyn on Sunday. The Scotiabank Arena has been a home away from home for Boston over the past couple of seasons, with the Celtics covering in nine straight against the Raptors.

Celtics vs. Raptors Best Bets

Celtics Moneyline (+100, FanDuel)

We’ve seen some early market movement towards the Raptors, who opened as a small home underdog but are now a slight favorite. It’s common for situational bettors to fade a road team on the second leg of a back-to-back game, especially when the home team is rested, which is the case here. Historically, this hasn’t been the edge that you’d think, so there’s often value in the team playing on the back-to-back, especially when they’re the better team.

The Celtics have been an offensive juggernaut this season, spearheaded by the dynamic tandem of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. The supporting cast has been terrific as well. A quick glance at the league’s top 3-point shooters shows four Celtics in the top 10, led by Malcolm Brogdon. Brogdon stepped up in Marcus Smart’s absence yesterday in Brooklyn, but the Celtics’ defensive leader and point guard could return to the court tonight, with Boston often resting players this season when they play on back-to-back nights.

The Raptors just don’t have the firepower to keep up with this Celtics offense. Toronto ranks 28th in true shooting percentage and 26th in 3-point shooting percentage on the season, whereas Boston leads the league in both categories.

Celtics vs. Raptors Game Total Under 227.5 (-110, FanDuel)

This total feels high to me, and these matchups have leaned under in recent years. Six of the past eight meetings have gone under the total, and both clubs are in the bottom half of the league in terms of the pace of play.

Risk: 1.1 units on FanDuel to win 1 unit. (Playable to -115)
