Boston shot an abysmal 41% from the field in that matchup, and Marcus Smart’s absence was noteworthy since the Celtics had no answer for Jalen Brunson, who finished with 29 points and seven assists.
The Celtics should be at full strength for this matchup, and Smart’s presence will be felt on both sides of the ball. The Knicks turned it over just five times in the last meeting, and while they’ve done a good job at taking care of the basketball this season, five turnovers in a game is an incredibly low number, and seven fewer than their season average.
The Celtics lead the league in offensive efficiency on the road, and they dropped 133 on the Knicks in the Garden in early November. I think a repeat performance is on deck tonight in New York.
