The vast majority of NBA All-Star Game bettors Sunday will be rooting for transition oops, threes aplenty and easy buckets in droves — at least according to the early betting report.
BetMGM sportsbook has been flooded with action on the game going over the total. At the time of writing, it’s attracting 72% of the bets and 84% of the total handle.
The number opened 319.5, but has ticked up a few points to 321.5; at some shops, it’s 322. Seem high? Well, it is.
But previous All-Star showcases have shattered these barriers, multiple times, and rather effortlessly. Since 2016, both teams have combined for at least 340 points three times; seven of the last eight All-Star Games overall have featured north of 310.
The influx of money on the over pushed the number up a couple points. However, the same can’t be said regarding the betting spread.
Despite Team LeBron getting 53% of the tickets wagered and 56% of the total dollars, the line’s down from -6.5 to -5.5.
