Sabrina Ionescu went bonkers for the New York Liberty on Wednesday night, posting a 30-point triple-double with zero turnovers in a win over the Las Vegas Aces.
It turns out that banner night — much less against one of the league’s top teams — earned some respect in the WNBA MVP betting market, as the star guard owns the fourth-shortest odds across the board.

Ionescu posted 31 points, 13 rebounds and 10 dimes in the 116-107 win. It was the first 30-point triple-double in WNBA history for Ionescu, who led the Liberty to their season high in scoring.
The former No. 1 overall pick was +1600 to win MVP in late June and +1500 to open the week. Ionescu’s clinic over the Aces pushed her past Jonquel Jones to +1000 at DK, and BetRivers is even lower (+800).
Ionescu’s the team leader in points (17.2), rebounds (7.5) and assists (6.2). She’ll have a couple more shots to improve her stock in the MVP market, including as a starter in this weekend’s WNBA All-Star Game.
The Liberty are 9-12 overall and 11-10 against the spread entering Thursday. They draw the Phoenix Mercury for the second of a back-to-back tonight. Ionescu and New York are 4.5-point underdogs, with a total of 164.5.
