The 2021-22 NBA regular season tips off on October 19. Opening night will feature the past two champions and a good chunk of the top-10 talent in the league.

The star-studded Brooklyn Nets will head to Fiserv Forum to take on the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks.

In the nightcap, Stephen Curry and the Warriors take on the new-look Lakers at Staples Center.

En route to winning the 2021 NBA title, the Bucks took out the Nets in an all-time, seven-game Eastern Conference semifinals series. Milwaukee won Game 7 in Brooklyn by four points, despite a 48-point masterpiece from Kevin Durant.

The assumption among many critics has been that at full-strength, no team—including the reigning champs—can take down the Nets in a seven-game series.

But for a single game in Milwaukee, it appears that oddsmakers still see these teams as equals.

DraftKings also has the moneyline for Bucks-Nets at -110 either way, showing confidence in Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. to match the intensity of Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving.

In the late game, Golden State opens as a 4.5-point underdog against the Lakers, who added Russell Westbrook in perhaps the most shocking move of the offseason.

The Warriors will be patiently awaiting the return of Klay Thompson and hoping their pair of highly-touted rookies can carry some of his workload as he works his way back into form.

If Golden State is without Thompson on opening night, it will be even more difficult for them to slow down Westbrook and LeBron James’ tenacious drives to the basket. And offensively, Thompson’s elite 3-point shooting opens a ton for Golden State. They are coming off of a season in which they finished 20th in offensive rating despite Curry’s offensive brilliance.

If you are looking to get in early on NBA underdog action, the moneyline for Warriors-Lakers has opened at +170 Golden State.
