September 15, 2026 – The Charlotte Hornets today announced their schedule of theme nights and giveaways for the upcoming 2026-27 season, which focuses on the franchise’s diverse and passionate fan base, uplifting the community, celebrating the holidays and more. The schedule features 17 immersive experiences underscoring the team’s ongoing efforts to elevate the overall fan experience.
All fans in attendance for the Hornets Home Opener on October 23 versus the Atlanta Hawks will receive an Opening Night T-Shirt presented by Judi Health. A highlight of the theme night schedule includes three Buzz City Kids Day games: November 28 against the Brooklyn Nets, January 2 against the Cleveland Cavaliers, and March 28 against the Utah Jazz. Judi Health will also serve as the presenting partner of the team’s first City Night, when the Hornets unveil and wear their new City Edition uniform for the first time this season.
New theme nights this year include Marvel Night on December 14 against the Toronto Raptors, in conjunction with the release of the new Avengers: Doomsday release, and Star Wars Night on January 25 against the Orlando Magic, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the film series. In addition, to celebrate the team’s culturally diverse fans and their traditions and contributions, the team will host HBCU Night on January 31 against the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Hornets Night presented by Lunazul on March 13 versus the Phoenix Suns, and Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Night on April 6 against the Indiana Pacers.
Returning theme nights include Breast Cancer Awareness Night on October 26 against the Washington Wizards, Throwback Night presented by Lowe’s on November 30 against the Washington Wizards, Community Heroes Night presented by Corcoran HM Properties on January 5 against the Atlanta Hawks, and Women’s Impact Night presented by Thompson Child & Family Focus on March 24 against the Detroit Pistons. The team’s annual Holiday Hoopla presented by Novant Health will be on December 16 versus the Los Angeles Clippers.
In addition, a previously announced pair of Hornets Cup games will take place as part of the Emirates NBA Cup on November 6 against the Boston Celtics and on November 25 against the Chicago Bulls, both presented by Bank of America. The regular-season schedule will close out with Buzz City Appreciation presented by Dr Pepper on April 9 against the Brooklyn Nets.
The Hornets will also offer fans a variety of collectible giveaways throughout the season. Fans attending the November 28 Buzz City Kids Day game against Brooklyn will receive a Hugo Squish Pillow presented by Novant Health. Marvel Night on December 14 will feature a special Brandon Miller x Marvel Shirt giveaway. The team will distribute Coby White and Kon Knueppel bobbleheads on January 7 versus Denver and March 30 against Miami, respectively. Fans attending the Hornets’ final home game of the season on April 9 against Brooklyn will receive a Hornets Cowboy Hat.
