Pay it Forward

In 2020, the Grizzlies and Pepsi renovated the career center at Booker T. Washington High School, creating the Pepsi Stronger Together Career Lab, to help students research their future education and career options.

The Career Lab is now home of the Pay it Forward mentorship program that pairs students from Booker T. Washington with student mentors from LeMoyne-Owen College, Lane College and University of Memphis.

The Memphis Grizzlies Foundation facilitates the eight-week mentorship program to give students exposure to lessons designed to prepare them for college and their future careers.

Participating college students are granted paid internships at Pepsi allowing them to apply their mentorship learning and life skills in the workforce.

HBCU Awareness

Pepsi Stronger Together promotes HBCU awareness through HBCU college fairs and tours throughout the Memphis region in partnership with The HBCU Awareness Foundation.

Squad Goals & Cool Down Conversations

Mentors and mentees participate in a six-week basketball program curated by the Close the Gap Foundation. Squad Goals and Cool Down Conversations uses sports as the spark to navigate conversations such as self-esteem, youth-police relations and leadership.
