MEMPHIS, February 27, 2012 – The Memphis Grizzlies are inviting families with the fastest babies in the Mid-South to participate in the Grizzlies Infie 500 Baby Races presented by Ashley Furniture HomeStore at halftime against the Washington Wizards on Sunday, March 18.
To enter a baby in the most exciting speed-crawling competition in all of sports, family members are asked to attend the casting call at Ashley Furniture HomeStore (7951 Winchester Road; Memphis, TN 38125) on March 4 from 2 - 4 p.m. The fastest eight babies will become finalists and will compete in the diaper derby finale at halftime of the Grizzlies vs. Wizards matchup. Online submissions will also be accepted at grizzlies.com starting March 5. Babies must be between 6-12 months to participate, and all submissions must be received by March 9 to be considered. Babies who can walk are not eligible.

Finalists will receive four tickets to the Grizzlies game against the Wizards on March 18, which has a special early start time of 5 p.m. The race’s winner will crawl away with the grand prize valued at over $1,000, which includes a $500 gift card to Ashley Furniture, $50 gift card to Grizz Den, two courtside seats to a future game and the priceless recognition of being the 2012 Grizzlies Infie 500 Diaper Derby Champion.
