Grizzlies and ACH Food Companies, Inc. teaming up for canned food drive Jan. 21 at FedExForum

MEMPHIS, January 5, 2012 - —The Memphis Grizzlies and ACH Food Companies, Inc. are teaming up for the Grizzlies Canned Food Drive that benefits the Mid-South Food Bank when the team plays host to the Sacramento Kings on Saturday, Jan. 21.

All canned food items will be accepted at FedExForum and will be donated to the Mid-South Food Bank. Fans making a nonperishable food or cash donation will receive a “buy-one-get-one” ticket voucher to their choice of the Grizzlies contests against the San Antonio Spurs on Jan. 30 or the Denver Nuggets on Jan. 31, courtesy of ACH Food Companies.

The Mid-South Food Bank serves charitable agencies that feed hungry and needy people in West Tennessee, East Arkansas and North Mississippi. As the only organization in the region to supply food to all qualified charitable organizations, the Mid-South Food Bank supplies millions of pounds of food to emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters for the homeless, abused women and children, rehabilitation programs, daycares for children, elderly and disabled individuals and after-school programs.

Fans who want to come to the game and donate to the Mid-South Food Bank will want to come early and take advantage of what is sure to be an exciting night at FedExForum. The first 10,000 fans who arrive will receive a free Grizzlies rally flag courtesy of SportSouth.
