Prospect Overview
• Juzang was born on March 17, 2001 in Los Angeles, California. He has a younger sister, Lauren, and his older brother, Christian, played college basketball as a point guard for Harvard, as well as seeing time in the Vietnam Basketball Association. His father, Maxie is Creole, and his mother, Hanh, is Vietnamese.
• Juzang played high school ball at Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles. As a freshman, he was teammates with NBA player Cassius Stanley and won the CIF Southern Section Division 1A championship, with Juzang recording 21 points, 11 rebounds and four assists in the title game.
• The following year, he averaged 22.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists. He was named Most Valuable Player of the Mission League during his junior year behind averages of 23.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists. He led the team to their first league title since 2011, scoring 25 points in the final over rival Loyola.
• Juzang reclassified from the 2020 to 2019 class after that season, and he joined Kentucky for his freshman campaign after being a four-star recruit. During that year, he started two of 28 appearances and averaged 2.9 points and 1.9 rebounds in 12.4 minutes.
• After freshman year, Juzang opted to transfer to UCLA and was granted an immediate waiver to do so. During his sophomore campaign, he started 26 of 27 appearances and averaged 16.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 32.1 minutes. He made the All-Pac 12 Second Team.
• As a junior, he made the All-Pac 12 First Team behind 15.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 31.7 minutes. He declared for the 2022 NBA Draft following his junior year.
• At the 2022 NBA Draft Combine, he measured 6-foot-5.25 without shoes and 209 pounds with a 6-foot-11 wingspan. He recorded a 32.5-inch maximum vertical leap.
