Los Angeles and Oceanside, CA – The LA Clippers have announced that their G League team will relocate to Oceanside, Calif. and rebrand as the San Diego Clippers, starting play at the brand new Frontwave Arena for the 2024-25 season. The Clippers organization returns to the San Diego area, where the NBA team played from 1978-1984. The announcement was made at a press event at Frontwave Arena, where the new G League San Diego Clippers logo was unveiled.The currently named Ontario Clippers will complete the 2023-24 G League season in Ontario, Calif.“We are proud to re-introduce the San Diego Clippers into this passionate sports market,” said Halo Sports and Entertainment CEO Gillian Zucker. “Our G League team is a critical part of our business and basketball operation, and we are thrilled to be relocating to the new Frontwave Arena next season.”

The LA Clippers and Halo Sports and Entertainment - the new umbrella brand encompassing the Clippers and their G League team, the Kia Forum, and Intuit Dome - will partner with Frontwave Arena to run the business operations of the G League San Diego Clippers. LA Clippers President, Basketball Operations Lawrence Frank will continue to oversee basketball operations for both teams.

Expected to open this summer, Frontwave Arena will hold entertainment and sporting events including concerts, comedy shows, community events, and games for the San Diego Sockers professional indoor soccer team. The 7,500 capacity arena, located in Oceanside, California, will also have an outdoor plaza for additional performances, activities and, community gatherings.

The LA Clippers and their G League team maintain a close relationship between players and staff to maximize growth and resources. Twelve of the 18 players on the LA Clippers’ current roster have spent time in the G League during their career.&nbsp;

LOS ANGELES, CA –&nbsp;The LA Clippers have unveiled their new brand look, establishing a set of marks that blend the team’s past, present, and focus on the future in a familiar but elevated colorway of naval blue, ember red, and Pacific blue. The refreshed look includes a modernized version of the classic Clippers script that will adorn the front of the Icon and Association Edition jerseys next season. The new primary logo features a Clippers “C” that surrounds the points of a compass and an oncoming ship with basketball seams on the hull, a nod to the organization’s maritime roots and a symbol of its direction.

The team will wear uniforms and merchandise displaying the new logo and colors in the 2024-25 NBA season as the Clippers begin play in their new home, Intuit Dome.

LA Clippers Unveil New Uniforms, Logo, and Brand Look

The NBA announced today that LA Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard has been named Western Conference Player of Week for games played from Monday, January 29, through Sunday, February 4. This is Leonard’s ninth Player of the Week Award, and his third time winning with the Clippers.

During the week, Leonard led the Clippers to a 3-1 record, behind averages of 29.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals, while shooting 56.6% from the field, 48.0% from the three-point range and 100% from the free-throw line.&nbsp;It’s the first time in Leonard’s career he has averaged at least 29.0 points and 8.0 rebounds while shooting 100% from the free-throw line over a four-game span. It’s also the first time any player in franchise history has hit those three marks over a four-game span.

The six-time All-Star recorded three 30-plus point games last week, and has shot at least 50% from the field in eight of his last nine games for the Clippers. On Wednesday, January 31 against Washington, Leonard led the Clippers to a win with 31 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals. On Friday, February 2 against Detroit, Leonard finished with 33 points on 12-of-17 shooting with four rebounds and three assists.&nbsp;

In his 12th NBA season, the five-time All-NBA player has appeared in 44 games for the Clippers, averaging 24.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game, while shooting 53.0% from the field, 45.1% from the three-point line and 89.0% from the free-throw line. The Clippers have won eight of their last nine games and&nbsp;hold a 33-15 record on the season.

The NBA announced today that LA Clippers forwards Kawhi Leonard and Paul George have been selected as reserves for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game. The 73rd NBA All-Star Game will be held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Sunday, February 18th at 5 p.m. PT on TNT. &nbsp;Leonard will make his sixth career All-Star appearance (2021, 2020, 2019, 2017, 2016) and his third selection with the Clippers. George will make his ninth career All-Star appearance (2023, 2021, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2014, 2013), also his third selection with the Clippers. Leonard and George are among six players in franchise history to make at least three All-Star appearances as Clippers. This is the eighth time in franchise history that the team has had multiple All-Stars in a single season.&nbsp;In his 12th NBA season, Leonard is averaging career highs in FG% (52.6) and minutes played (34.4). The 6-foot-7 forward currently ranks tied for first in the NBA in plus/minus differential (8.4), second in net rating (11.6), third in steals per game (1.7) and seventh in deflections per game (3.1). Leonard is the only player in the NBA this season to average at least 23 points, six rebounds, three assists, and one-and-a-half steals. On January 23 against the Lakers, Leonard collected his second career triple-double, tallying 25 points, 11 rebounds and a career-tying 10 assists. &nbsp;&nbsp;A two-time Defensive Player of the Year (2016, 2015) and two-time Finals MVP (2019, 2014), Leonard holds career averages of 19.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.7 steals. The Moreno Valley, Calif. native has five All-NBA Team selections (2021, 2020, 2019, 2017, 2016), seven All-Defensive Team selections (2021, 2020, 2019, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014) and is a member of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team. &nbsp;

In his 14th NBA season, George is averaging career highs in 3P% (41.2) and FT% (90.9). The 6-foot-8 forward is tied for second in the NBA in offensive rating (122.9), third in total three-pointers made (148) and tied for fourth in steals per game (1.6) and net rating (11.3). George is one of two players in the NBA averaging at least 20 points while shooting at least 45% from the field, 40% from three and 90% from the free-throw line. On December 26 against Charlotte, George eclipsed 17,000 career points. George is one of seven active NBA players with at least 17,000 points, 5,000 rebounds and 3,000 assists.&nbsp;

George is a six-time All-NBA Team selection (2021, 2019, 2018, 2016, 2014, 2013), four-time All-Defensive Team selection (2019, 2016, 2014, 2013) and an Olympic gold medalist (2016). A native of Palmdale, Calif., George has appeared in 836 career games, holding averages of 20.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.7 steals.

The NBA announced today that LA Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue has been named Western Conference Coach of the Month for January 2024. This is Lue’s second consecutive Coach of the Month award, making him the first coach in franchise history to win the award in consecutive months. &nbsp;

The Clippers finished the month of January with a 12-3 (.800) record and were a perfect 6-0 at home, one of two NBA teams to remain undefeated on home court this month. For the month of January, the Clippers had the best record in the Western Conference, while ranking first in the NBA in offensive rating (124.6), 3P% (42.3) and FT% (82.8), second in FG% (51.1) and third in plus/minus differential (10.3).

Throughout four seasons, Lue has held a 164–118 (.582) record with the Clippers. This season, the Clippers are currently 31-15 and have won nine of their last 11 games.

The 75th NBA All-Star Game will take place at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, home of the LA Clippers, on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026. This will mark the record seventh NBA All-Star in Los Angeles, and the first time the Intuit Dome will host the annual midseason showcase reaching fans in more than 200 countries and territories in more than 50 languages.NBA Commissioner Adam Silver made the announcement today during a press conference at Intuit Dome, where he was joined by Clippers Chairman Steve Ballmer, Clippers President of Business Operations Gillian Zucker, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Inglewood Mayor James T. The LA Clippers have signed Kawhi Leonard to a contract extension, it was announced by President of Basketball Operations Lawrence Frank.

Leonard is a two-time Finals MVP (2014, 2019), five-time All-Star (2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021), five-time All-NBA Team selection (2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021), two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year (2015, 2016) and a member of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team. A native of Moreno Valley, Calif., Leonard has appeared in 660 career games across 12 NBA seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors and LA Clippers, holding averages of 19.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.7 steals. The 6-foot-7 forward is the third-winningest player in NBA history with a regular-season record of 483-177 (.732). 

A two-time NBA Champion, Leonard is one of 12 players in NBA history with multiple Finals MVPs, appearing in 137 postseason games while averaging 21.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.8 steals. Regarded as one of the game’s greatest two-way players, Leonard has been selected to seven All-Defensive Teams (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021) and is one of three players in NBA history to win a Finals MVP, Defensive Player of the Year Award and All-Star Game MVP (2020).
