2023-24 (Knicks): Averaged 28.7 ppg on 47.9 percent shooting, 211 made three pointers on 40.1 percent shooting, 6.7 apg, and 3.6 rpg…His 28.7 ppg ranked fourth in the NBA this season…Brunson scored a career-high 61 points on 53.1 percent shooting against San Antonio (Mar. 29). His 61 points rank second all-time in Knicks history, trailing only Carmelo Anthony (62 points). The New Jersey native moved to Lincolnshire, Illinois, in high school and earned Illinois Mr. Basketball honors as a senior in 2015 after leading Stevenson High School to the IHSA Class 4A state title. Brunson was also named a McDonald’s All-American, Parade All-American and the USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year in 2015 after taking home MVP honors for Team USA at the FIBA Under-19 World Championship. He re-united with USA Basketball when he played for The Select Team in 2019.
