Welcome Toronto is not a replay, it’s a mainstay. Raptors and OVO have come together to build the Creators program, focused on spotlighting emerging Black, Indigenous, non-binary, female and other Racialized Groups artists between the ages of 16-29.

PROGRAM

In partnership with OVO, the Toronto Raptors strive to amplify diverse voices and talents in our city through art. The Welcome Toronto Creators Program is designed for emerging creators who identify as Black, Indigenous, Women, Non-Binary, or a member of a racialized group between 16 to 29 years old. The chosen creators will be have the opportunity to have the keys to our brand, and will represent the multicultural DNA of our city and team.

When will I hear back regarding my application?

All applicants will hear back regarding the status of their application by November 25th 2022

How are the creators being evaluated and selected?

Requirements: Canadian, between the ages of 16-29
Preference to individuals who identify as Black, Indigenous, Non-Binary, Women or a member of a Racialized Group
Evaluation board consists of representatives from Toronto Raptors, MLSE’s E/D/I team, marketing and external stakeholders

How many creators will be selected for the 2022/23 program?

A total of four creators will be selected for the 2022/2023 program, with one creator designated to our G League affiliate team, Raptors 905. The Toronto Raptors and OVO have also committed to reserving one of the four spots to an Indigenous creator.
