#NYK70 | 1968: Walt Frazier, Phil Jackson Named to NBA All-Rookie Team

Walt Frazier wasn’t the only draft pick in 1967 who would become an integral part of the Knicks’s success well into the 1970s. In the second round the team selected a onetime aspiring minister from rural Montana named Phil Jackson. The 1967 draft also yielded Earl Monroe, the Baltimore Bullets’ first-round pick, who would join Frazier in the Knicks’ backcourt following a historic trade in 1971.
