NEW DELHI, JULY 6, 2008 – This was the day when campers went all out to prove themselves as the best and most deserving to be selected as the East and West All-Stars, to lay out all they had learned over the past three days and ultimately be crowned the 2008 Basketball without Borders Asia All-Star.
NEW DELHI, JULY 5, 2008 – The third day of the Basketball without Borders Asia was a loaded day for campers, NBA coaches and players alike. While campers attended a life skills seminar hosted by the Modicare Foundation on HIV/AIDS education and prevention, coaches and players took to the court and hosted a women’s clinic for members of the Indian Women’s Senior and Junior National Teams along with the Delhi girls’ team.
NEW DELHI, JULY 4, 2008 – Today marked the official beginning of the fourth Basketball without Borders Asia camp. Hosted in New Delhi, India for the very first time, 53 top young participants from 15 different countries and territories across Asia will spend the coming three days with NBA players and coaches. As part of the mission of the program, participants not only go through intensive basketball training but also develop life skills and leadership both on and off the court. Campers were encouraged during the life skills seminar in the morning when told that they should be proud of themselves because they are the future of basketball, but camp directors also kept them grounded with a reminder that “you can only get out of it what you put in!”

NEW DELHI, JULY 3, 2008 – It was an early start to Basketball without Borders Asia today beginning with an ESS Basketball Clinic run by Dominique Wilkins. Over 250 students watched clips of Wilkins’ days as a player that showed exactly why he is the “Human Highlight Film.” Wilkins addressed the assembly and encouraged the crowd to “play basketball everyday because that is best way to develop friendship, teamwork, and game fundamentals.” Afterwards, Wilkins and NBA staff hit the courts with 200 lucky students for an education in basketball fundamentals.
