BOSTON – The Boston Celtics will open an eight-game 2014 preseason schedule on Monday, October 6, 2014 at TD Garden against the Philadelphia 76ers and close out preseason play against the Brooklyn Nets at TD Garden on Wednesday, October 22, 2014. Tickets for preseason games played at TD Garden will go on sale later this month.
In between preseason games at TD Garden, the Celtics will match up against Atlantic Division rivals in locations around the Northeast. The Celtics take on the New York Knicks at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn. on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 (tickets available now at XLCenter.com) and Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, October 11, 2014 (tickets available now at Ticketmaster.com). The team will also travel to Portland, Maine for the first time in twenty years to take on the Toronto Raptors at Cross Insurance Arena on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Tickets for the Portland game will be available on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Ticketmaster.com.
