ERIC SNOW

Eric Snow’s Shoot 4 The Moon Foundation is dedicated to supporting and strengthening communities and families in the Canton, Cleveland and surrounding areas in Northeast Ohio. The Foundation strives to accomplish this goal with an emphasis and concentration on community activities aimed at empowering and encouraging fathers in the areas of business and home-ownership, the promotion of men’s health and wellness, economic development, financial security, education, employment and social policy as it relates to men, fathers and family.

The Full Court Fathers Program is a unique contest through which Cavaliers’ guard Eric Snow promotes, encourages, and rewards positive father-child relationships. During the 2006-07 regular season, one father-son and one father-daughter duo was honored at each Cavaliers’ home game. Each duo received two (2) game tickets, compliments of Eric’s Shoot 4 The Moon Foundation, and were able to meet Eric before the game. Forty father-son and forty father-daughter pairs from as far away as Columbus and Toledo and as close as downtown Cleveland got the once-in-a-lifetime chance to participate in Eric’s Full Court Fathers program this past season. The program will be available for the 2007-08 season beginning in September. View this season's recipients.

Steals and Assists Program
In an effort to assist local non-profit organizations who share his passion for promoting and encouraging positive father-child relationships, Eric will donate $20.00 for every steal and $20.00 for every assist he made during the regular season. All funds raised will be donated to worthy non-profit agencies in the Canton and Cleveland areas. Eric will donate close to $10,000 to fatherhood programs this season.

Fatherhood Basketball Clinic
On October 16, 2006, Snow and his son E.J. hosted an exclusive basketball clinic for 50 father-son duos from the Center for Families and Children on the Cavaliers’ practice court. The clinic included basic basketball skill instruction and competition with the Snow family as well as a short Q & A session with Eric and Cavaliers’ legends Bingo Smith and Campy Russell.
