Bucks select Luc Richard Mbah a Moute in 2nd round of 2008 NBA Draft June 26, 2008 MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Bucks have selected forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute with the 37th pick in the second round of the 2008 NBA Draft. Mbah a Moute (6-8, 230) comes to Milwaukee following a three-year collegiate career at UCLA. He averaged 8.8 points and 6.0 rebounds (T-11th in the Pac-10) last season for the Bruins. He tallied double-doubles in last year’s Elite Eight win against Xavier (13 points, 13 rebounds) and Final Four loss to Memphis (12 points, 13 rebounds). The 21-year-old earned Honorable Mention All-Pac-10 and Honorable Mention All-Defensive Team honors following the 2007-08 campaign. His 775 career rebounds at UCLA rank 15th on their all-time list. Mbah a Moute was born in Yaounde, Cameroon. |
